Award reflects company's consistently high level of customer service!
Red Hot Carpet Cleaning has earned the home service industry's coveted Angie's List Super Service Award, reflecting an exemplary year of customer service to members of the local services marketplace and consumer review site in 2016.
Here is a carpet cleaning job we did in State College today. Oxidized soils make carpets look dull and dingy. By removing the oxidation, the carpets are vibrant and look like new again.
At Red Hot Carpet Cleaning, we take carpet cleaning to the next level. We cater our cleaning services not only to the type of carpet in your home but also any other issues your carpet may have.

Take some upholstered furniture, add lots of frozen yogurt and what do you get? Some very bad looking chairs.
How do you get badly stained uphostery clean? Pre-condition, pre-spot, pre-scrub, 220 degree hot water and then some more spotting. After a thorough cleaning and rinsing the chairs looked like new again.
Awesome results and another satisfied client.
To start off my snowy Monday, I got to clean a heavily soiled and stained apartment. Carpet cleaners are challenged by neglected carpets and heavily soiled carpets which require more knowledge and expertise. The property manager dropped by and was simply amazed at the difference.
Check out the streaks in the before picture. The customer tried cleaning the carpet themselves with a DIY steam cleaning machine.
There are too many variables with DIY machines -- the temperature of the water, the amount of cleaner to add, the exact method of use -- that present opportunities for things to go wrong.
You wouldn’t Skip Getting Your Oil Changed - Why Skip Cleaning Your Carpet?
Having your carpets cleaned every 6-12 months not only make your carpets last longer but your carpets will stay beautiful plus your home will be much healthier.
Here is a carpet cleaning job we did in State College today.
If it's been over one year since your last cleaning, here are three important benefits to having your carpet and rugs cleaned every 6-12 months.
1. Your carpet will stay beautiful. Regular cleaning prevents permanent staining and keeps traffic lanes looking great.
2. Your carpet will last longer. Regular cleaning removes ground-in soils that destroy traffic lanes. Carpet makers recommend cleaning at least every 12-18 months to keep you warranty valid.
3. Your home will be healthier. Your carpet is a fiber. It needs to be cleaned regularly to extract dander, dust, pollen, and bacteria that vacuuming doesn’t remove.
Here is a Tile and Grout job we did last week in State College.
At first we thought the grout was tinted... it really was white!
Make sure you get your Tile and Grout professionally cleaned and sealed every 3-5 years. This will make your maintenance efforts much easier.
Today is the first day of Spring but looking out the window and watching it snow outside it sure does not look like Spring.
Chair mats for carpets - a carpet cleaners nightmare.
The chair mat did it's purpose and protected the carpet. The carpet under the mat is still pristine and free from wear. However, if you look closely where the chair mat was on the rug, you will see the most soiling closest to the mat and then gradually less soiling as you move away from the mat.
Most carpet cleaners are unable to thoroughly clean and match the area but as you can see in the picture, we are not like most carpet cleaners.
It has been a few months since my last post. Here is a before and after picture of a rather soiled reclining chair.

Did you ever wonder what those dark black areas that run along the walls and under your doors on your carpets are called? They can be called soil filtration lines, filtration soiling or filtration lines.
These filtration lines are composed of small microscopic particles consisting of carbon. Filtration soiling usually occurs in a closed air system such as a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Just like the filter in your HVAC system will trap most of the dirt and other fine particles, your carpet will act much like a HVAC filter, trapping dirt and other fine particles as they move through the carpet fibers from the walls.

Finally got to try out my new iPhone 6 Plus. Amazing pictures.
Did someone say dirty?
Here is a commercial carpet cleaning job we just finished cleaning in downtown State College. In my 28 years of carpet cleaning, this carpet ranks near the top of one of the most badly soiled carpets. To top if off it was a frigid 18 degrees outside.

Received an early morning call and was asked if I could come out as quickly as possible to clean a carpet. Unfortunately, the client's elderly relative could not make it to the bathroom in time. Of course I told them I would be able to help them in their time of need.

To start my Friday off I got to clean a dirty berber carpet. Most carpet cleaners dread cleaning berber carpets, especially a very dirty berber carpet. I personally love to clean berber style carpets.

Can your carpet cleaner do this?
Pictured below is a room where two large dogs had free roam of the house. As you can see the carpet is a mess. Numerous urine stains and several other miscellaneous stains are on the carpet. The average carpet cleaner would have a hard time getting this carpet to look good.

08/13/14 - Auto Interior Carpet Cleaning - State College, Bellefonte, Central PA
Here are two pictures of an auto interior we had cleaned earlier this week. The van interior was in really bad shape. After a thorough vacuuming (the vacuum was emptied 5 times), we were then able to pre-treat and pre-spot the carpet.

05/26/14 - Apartment Cleaning - State College
This was a heavily soiled carpet in a rental property. Unfortunately, an iPad does not do this picture justice. This carpet was trashed! There were numerous burn marks from cigarettes. Chewing gum stuck to the carpet. Heavy build up of dirt and oils on the carpet. A rental machine would not have made a dent on this apartment.
Normally when carpets are this bad, I would pre-scrub the carpet but the electricity was turned off. I could only rely on the power of my cleaning solutions and my patented van-powered cleaning van.

05/16/14 - Warranty Claim - Cat Urine
Here is a furniture warranty we did for a customer in State College. The cat was on top of the cushion. As you can see, urine flowed all the way down the cushion. How do you think it turned out?
